Specialist Dt. Merve Özkan Akagündüz

I was born in Edirne on June 8, 1988. I graduated from Edirne Anatolian Teacher High School in 2006. In 2007, I started my master’s degree at Istanbul University (Çapa) Faculty of Dentistry.

I graduated from my 5-year education in 2012 and worked as a General Dentist in a private polyclinic in Istanbul for about 1 year. In 2014, I ranked 28th in the Dentistry Specialization Examination (DUS) and was entitled to start my specialist training at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.

I completed my education in 2019 and received the title of Orthodontic Specialist. In the same year, I was appointed to Çorlu Oral and Dental Health Center and worked as an Orthodontic Specialist Dentist between 2019-2022. I took part in the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred during this period.

I continued my professional life in a private polyclinic in Istanbul between 2022-2024. My areas of special interest are adult orthodontics, early orthodontic appliances, treatments with transparent aligners and orthognathic surgery. I am a member of the Turkish Orthodontic Association.

I have been continuing my work in my own clinic since 2024.
