We set out to be more than a clinic.
Doredent was founded in 2024 in Avcılar with a vision shaped by orthodontics specialist Uzm. Dt. Merve Özkan Akagündüz: a clinic that eases the apprehension patients feel when they sit in the chair, that shares the process transparently and that lets patients follow their own results in their own words.
We provide care in a clean, modern space in the centre of Avcılar. With our Invisalign Diamond Provider certification, we plan clear aligner treatments to international standards; with iTero digital scanning, ClinCheck 3D simulation and modern disinfection protocols, every step is managed in a digital environment.
Our team brings together three different specialties: orthodontics, general dentistry and pedodontics. We offer Invisalign and aesthetic treatments for adults; for children, we offer a dedicated approach under the DoreKids umbrella. The children's floor is separate, our corridors are spacious and our coffee corner is open.
The way we document treatment journeys is also a conscious choice. We record our patients' journeys — when they want to share them — through videos, doctor's notes and transparent language. Because good treatment is measured not only by the outcome, but by how the patient takes part in the process.

Orthodontics Specialist · Founder
Uzm. Dt. Merve Özkan Akagündüz
Graduate of Istanbul University Çapa. Specialised in clear aligners (Invisalign) and digital orthodontics; experience with 1,000+ fixed orthodontic and 500+ clear aligner cases.
Uzm. Dt. Merve Özkan Akagündüz was born in Edirne in 1988. After graduating from Edirne Anatolian Teacher High School in 2006, she began her dental education at Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Dentistry in 2007 and earned her dentist title upon graduating in 2012.
Starting her career as a general dentist at a private clinic in Istanbul, Dr. Akagündüz earned 28th place nationwide in the Specialty Examination in Dentistry (DUS) in 2014, gaining the right to pursue specialty training at the Department of Orthodontics, Süleyman Demirel University.
After completing her orthodontics specialty in 2019, she served as an orthodontics specialist at the Çorlu Oral and Dental Health Centre; during this time she gained extensive patient experience and continued providing active clinical care throughout the pandemic.
Between 2022 and 2024 she continued her practice at a private clinic in Istanbul, and in 2024 she founded Özel Dore Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic, where she now sees her patients.
In orthodontics, she focuses on clear aligner treatments (Invisalign), fixed orthodontic treatments and digital orthodontics; her approach aims to deliver aesthetically and functionally balanced outcomes through patient-specific planning.

Dentist
Dt. Buse Esen
Graduate of Karabük University Faculty of Dentistry. Actively practising in restorative dentistry, endodontics, pedodontics and general dental treatments.
Dt. Buse Esen was born in Istanbul in 1998. She graduated from Yeşilköy Anatolian High School in 2017; during her high school years, between 2015 and 2016 she took part in a student exchange programme at Owosso High School in the United States, gaining international educational experience.
She graduated in 2024 from Karabük University Faculty of Dentistry, which she had begun in 2019. During her studies she completed internships at various clinics through the Young EDAD Mentorship Programme, gaining clinical observation and experience across different areas of dentistry.
During this period she observed cases in laminate cementation, MTA/Biodentine applications, indirect restorations and orthodontic treatment workflows; she also developed her skills in patient communication, clinical management and patient psychology.
Beginning her professional career in Istanbul in 2025, Dt. Esen worked at several private clinics during that year before joining Özel Dore Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic in September 2025, where she continues to see patients. She actively practises in pedodontics, endodontics, restorative dentistry and general dental treatments.

Doctoral studies in pedodontics at Istanbul Health and Technology University. Focused on preventive dentistry, primary tooth treatments and the paediatric patient approach.
Dr. Dt. Ceyda Pınar Tanrıverdi specialises in paediatric dentistry (pedodontics) and is currently continuing her doctoral studies at Istanbul Health and Technology University.
She aims to make treatment a fear-free, safe and comfortable experience for children, providing care in preventive dentistry, primary tooth treatments and aesthetic applications.
In her treatment approach, she puts children's psychology and individual needs at the centre, planning a tailored and harmonious process for each patient.
Under Doredent's DoreKids umbrella, she sees her young patients in a space designed specifically for them, building trust-based communication with families and turning treatment into a team effort.
