Editorial Policy
At Doredent, every piece of content we publish must stand on three equal foundations: scientific accuracy, transparency, and patient focus. This page explains how we create our content, who writes it, and how it is reviewed before publication.
All treatment pages, blog posts, and patient guides published on doredent.com are prepared by the Dore Editorial Board and medically reviewed by the relevant specialist before going live.
Our goal is not to produce piles of information, but to deliver scientifically accurate and clearly written content that helps our patients make informed decisions. On this page, we transparently share every step of our content production process.
Scientific Accuracy
Every piece of content is grounded in current scientific literature, international dental association guidelines, and our own clinical experience. We never make claims without evidence.
Transparency
We clearly disclose our authors, reviewers, sources, and update dates. We never publish content shaped by advertising, sponsorships, or brand partnerships.
Patient Focus
We don't hide behind medical jargon. We answer the questions our patients actually ask, in plain language — without scaring, exaggerating, or overselling.
Who Creates Our Content?
Content creation at Doredent is not ordinary blog editing. Our content is written by dentists who actively treat patients in their own specialty areas. Each of our doctors authors content in their field, and every piece goes through final approval by our Board Chair, Dr. Merve Özkan Akagündüz, DDS, MSc, before publication.
Orthodontic content is written by Dr. Merve Özkan Akagündüz, general dentistry and endodontic content by Dr. Buse Esen, and pediatric dentistry content by Dr. Ceyda Pınar Tanrıverdi. Web publishing, editorial refinement, and technical coordination are handled by Çağdaş Akagündüz.
For detailed biographies, areas of expertise, and specific responsibilities of our board members, visit the Dore Editorial Board page.
Our Medical Review Process
Every single piece of content published on doredent.com is read and approved by our Board Chair, Dr. Merve Özkan Akagündüz, before going live. This process applies without exception to every treatment page, blog post, and patient guide.
Which Sources Do We Use?
We base every scientific claim in our content only on recognized, peer-reviewed, and internationally credible sources. We do not accept forums, personal blogs, or unverified websites as references.
How Often Do We Update Our Content?
Dentistry is a continuously evolving field of science. Information that is accurate today may become outdated within five years. For this reason, every piece of content published on Doredent is systematically reviewed at least once every 12 months.
In addition, whenever there is a meaningful change in scientific literature, a new treatment method, or an updated clinical guideline, the relevant content is updated immediately, without waiting. The content information box at the bottom of each page clearly shows the latest review and update dates.
Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Doredent content is created with patient health and accurate information as our top priorities. To protect our editorial independence, we follow one clear rule:
Our Content Is Never Shaped by Advertising or Sponsorship
No treatment page, blog post, or patient guide published on doredent.com is influenced by paid partnerships, sponsorships, or advertising agreements with any brand, product, or third party. When we recommend a specific brand in a treatment (for example, Invisalign or the implant brands we use), that choice is based on our clinical experience and scientific evidence — never on a commercial arrangement.
Did You Notice an Error?
Despite all our care, errors can occasionally slip through. If you notice any incorrect, missing, or outdated information in our content, we would be grateful if you let us know. Every piece of feedback is reviewed by our team, and necessary corrections are made as soon as possible.
Write to Us
You can send us your correction suggestions, information you would like to see added, or any questions you may have about our content. We take every piece of feedback seriously.
